We had been here a few yrs back. Came in for breakfast today. I just had two poached eggs and English muffin with peanut butter. They have a rib eye breakfast special so he got the steak a la carte and a small chef salad.
Service is great and so is everything else!! Wow. The steak ( oops no pix) was fabulous. Cause I got three bites he he. And the 1000 dressing has a bit of a horseradish flavor he said. It's good. A good stop on a tues morning! -

I really wanted to give a 2 star review, but the food was pretty good, so the 3 stars are just based on the food alone. If you are in any kind of hurry at all, avoid this place. I went into the restaurant at 12:58 PM, just after the lunch rush, and there was only one other table with 2 people sitting. The waitress came with a menu and glass of water within about 5 minutes, and didn't return for nearly 15 minutes. It was 1:49 exactly by the time my food finally got to me. The waitress commented that the delay was because I asked for crispy hashbrowns, implying that it was somehow my fault that I was sitting there nearly an hour before getting food. Again, the saving grace was the food was decent, but service and speed not so much.

Sweet waitress, Dee Dee, she was a riot! Amazing Cobb salad (got it without mushrooms and ranch)and boyfriend got the Chicken fried steak breakfast with over medium eggs. He said it was also really delicious and perfectly cooked. Great little truck stop...worth it if you get pulled into the scale here!

We eat here often. The Service is usually good but occasionally is a miss. The potions are generous and the food is typically good. Prices are reasonable for the area as well. My husband's favorite is the smoked meatloaf dinner. Friday the smoked BBQ rib dinner with clan chowder is excellent.

I have eaten in the bar here several times while in town working. The food is amazingly solid. Prime rib with all the fixings or the chicken salad are my go to dinners. Both were better than good. It's like grandmas cooking, fresh and big. Definitely a decent choice in a town with few non Mexican options.
